Horsetooth Reservoir Fort Collins, Colorado Large Family Photography
A multi-generational relaxed winter photo session- golden light, sibling laughs, and Colorado mountain views
A March large family photo session at Horsetooth Reservoir was a celebration of all the love through one big, beautiful family.
With many visiting from out of town, they carved out time to be together and booked me to capture them all in a place that felt meaningful and full of beauty.
There were so many chapters unfolding. A newly engaged couple. Grandparents soaking in quiet moments with their newest grandchild. Brothers being brothers in the most ridiculous, joyful, and loving pestering ways. And couples sharing time, with big laughs, soft glances, and loving teasing.
As the light shifted over the lake, we wandered the shoreline, sat on rocks, skipped stones, and leaned into the stillness and beauty of the water and purple mountains. This session was playful, heartfelt, and wonderfully human. We made time for big group photos and also for everyone to have their time in the spotlight. Each frame holds small truths about how good it feels to be surrounded by your people, and how important it is to make the effort to come together, no matter how far apart life may take you.
If you imagine family photos that feel natural and full of heart, in a beautiful Colorado lakeside setting, with laughter, rock skipping competitions, a bit of pestering and shared tender moments, then this is exactly the kind of story I’d love to help you tell. Book family photo session!
Here’s what Gina had to say about our time together.
“Ryan did an amazing job taking our family photos. He worked super well with our 2.5 year old who was grumpy when we first started our session. I would highly recommend using Ryan!”
