Oaxaca, Mexico | La Espatoba Ancestoral Mezcal Branding Photography
Miguel, a mezcalero who invited us into his distillery, poured us a taste of mezcal pechuga, and opened the door to a world of tradition and connection.
Miguel greeted us right away with a warmth that felt like home. He showed us his distillery and poured us mezcal straight from the stills, including a wild one called pechuga, redistilled with fruit, grains, nuts, and yes, even a raw chicken breast hung over the still. Strange as it sounds, it was one of the most interesting and delicious spirits I’ve ever tasted.
Before long he was on the phone calling a friend down the road who was just starting up his own palenque. We drove a few minutes further and found ourselves at the very first distillation in a brand new still being built in the ancestral way.
We spent hours there tasting, laughing, sharing stories with these men and their dog Luna. They gave us their time, their mezcal, and their friendship. We even left with one of the very first bottles to ever come out of that place, a gift I’ll hold on to for the rest of my life.
In return, I offered up my photography to help market their new brand through beautiful and authentic images of this special day.
At some point, between sips and stories, Placido shared with us that he had just lost his son and his mother within days of each other. We hugged him tight and felt the gravity of what mezcal really is — not just a drink, but a connection to land, spirit, and people. Something sacred.

Tito’s Vodka Brand Photoshoot | Arvada Beer Garden Colorado
In 2024, Erik from Tito’s reached out to have me photograph the winners of their annual Dog Halloween Costume Contest at Recess Bar in Denver’s Highlands neighborhood. It was such a blast that he reached out again this year, this time to capture the 2025 winners, Kayleigh, Mike, and their adorable pup, Athena.
This year’s session took place at Arvada Beer Garden, conveniently just a half mile from my house. The trio was rewarded with a complimentary photoshoot after being crowned the contest champions, sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka. We met on a beautiful October afternoon under crisp, bluebird Colorado skies. The beer garden was buzzing, and after a few sniffs, treats, and pets to help Athena warm up to me, we were off.
Erik arrived with plenty of Tito’s swag, and from there, we kept things spontaneous and fun. There was no rigid plan, just capturing authentic moments that celebrated their connection, joy, and a little bit of that Tito’s spirit. Kayleigh and Mike brought cozy fall outfits and festive Christmas sweaters, so we covered all the holiday vibes in one go. We wandered through the bar as people stopped to cheer for Athena, toss her some love, and laugh at the sight of me sprawled on the ground getting the perfect angle.
As the sun dropped lower, we moved to the park across the street where the energy slowed down and the light softened — the perfect ending to a joyful session full of laughter, silliness, and that oh so beautiful bond between people and their pets.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida | Chops + Hops Axe Throwing Bar Brand & Grand Opening Marketing Photography
My wife’s brother Chase had a dream to open and run his own bar at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After a huge investment of his money, time and sweat equity, his dream was about to become reality.
He reached out to see if I would photograph their grand opening. A new axe throwing bar aptly named Chops + Hops in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. He wanted to capture the spirit of their new business with fun, lively and genuine photography that would elevate their brand, get their name out there and to use in social media and marketing material.
When I arrived, I instantly loved the industrial space. Funky, artistic, open spaces, eclectic art and a keen attention to detail. I wanted to captured images that showcased all of these. I spent several hours interacting with guests, the staff and being a fly on the wall. The resulting images captured not only the spirit of opening day, but the fun vibe and local community gathered.

Arkansas River Buena Vista, Colorado | Whitewater Rafting Outdoor Company Branding Photography
When a local Denver, Colorado outdoor tour company reached out to see if I’d spend a day on the river photographing their whitewater adventures, I didn’t hesitate. I was all in.
I worked as a river guide for a short stint in graduate school — and I grew up paddling rivers with my parents across the West. So stepping back into that world with my camera felt like coming home. It was the perfect chance to blend my love for adventure and storytelling and to help showcase the authentic Colorado outdoor lifestyle through fresh, dynamic imagery for their brand.
We met just outside Buena Vista, Colorado, at the put-in for the famous Brown’s Canyon section of the Arkansas River. I joined a raft with one of their guides, camera in hand, ready to capture the rush of summer on the water. My goal was simple: create images that celebrated adventure, authenticity, and the spirit of the Rocky Mountains, not staged or overly polished . Raw action-packed adventure and joyful times together out on the river.
We spent hours chasing light and moments: cliff jumps, backflips, sandy shore games, and genuine good times. Every image telling a story of the day and the trip the company would be offering. The camaraderie, the hooting and holler, the passion and fun. For brands like Aspire Tours, visuals like these do more than promote trips; they build emotional connection and elevate marketing with photography that feels honest and human and deeply Colorado.
