Lookout Mountain Golden, Colorado Summer Family Photography | Ryan Kost
A Backyard Adventure of Laughter, Wildflowers, and the Everlasting Bond of Sisterhood.
A few years ago, I had the honor of photographing these two sweet sisters with their mom and dad during a golden-hour session at their beautiful home on Lookout Mountain.
They reached out again, this time on their own (pretty impressive for a 6 and 8 year old) as a surprise gift for their parents, secretly planning this summer photo session. I was all in.
We met near their home on Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado. A special place for me as well because my parents live atop the mountain as well. It’s a place that hold many cherished memories for me, and over the years, I’ve explored every little inch of this beautiful area.
Surrounded by wildflower meadows and ponderosa pines, the girls ran freely, played on their swing, and shared laughs and a bit of pestering as only sisters can.
The connection between them was joyful and genuine. From the silly moments to the soft, quiet ones, they gave me everything a photographer could hope for: authentic love, radiant personalities, and a true sense of place.
It was such a privilege to witness and document their relationship in this season of life. I have no doubt their parents will treasure these images for years to come, and I hope the sisters will too. What a beautiful way to celebrate family, connection, and the magic of growing up side by side. They pulled off their secret photo session. A later, their parents reached out to me with genuine awe and joy for these photos and were impressed their girls even coordinated their own clothes so well.
If you like top secret family sibling photo session, I promise to keep it between us and work with you to capture some magic in which you can gift your family. Book your beautiful Colorado family photshoot!
